Poetry has the ability to inspire thought, expression and creativity. We believe that through poetry we can connect to self, others, and our communities.

Breath work and embodying physical postures   that symbolise different life stages in this “moving meditation” can alter self defeating thoughts embedded in the sub conscious. Chill out neuro transmitters and happy brain chemicals are also stimulated. Performed regularly it is thought that yoga   can enlarge parts of the brain associated with memory focus and concentration.  Balance between the higher and lower self (sema) and connectedness is the ultimate aim

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a technique you can learn which involves making a special effort to notice what's happening in the present moment (in your mind, body and surroundings) – without judging anything.

It aims to help you:

  • become more self-aware
  • feel calmer and less stressed
  • feel more able to choose how to respond to your thoughts and feelings
  • cope with difficult or unhelpful thoughts
  • be kinder towards yourself.
